ILEA Program Director Derrick

Good afternoon ILEA Family! Please join us in welcoming acting ILEA Program Director Derrick Tolliver to the team! Supervisory Special Agent (SSA) Derrick Tolliver has 24 years of combined law enforcement and security experience with the U.S. Department of Defense and U.S. Department of State. He is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi (USM) Archaeology program, the Naval and Marine Corps Intelligence Training Center (NMITC) intelligence specialist program, and the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) criminal investigations program.
Derrick’s assignments include Marine Security Guard details to the U.S. embassies in Egypt, and in Tanzania; and as a fleet Marine Corps intelligence specialist at the 3rd Marine Division Intelligence Center in Okinawa, Japan. As a DS agent, he served in the Office of Counterintelligence and was responsible for NEA and EAP regions. He served as a criminal fraud investigator at the Washington Field Office, and as Assistant Regional Security Officer (RSO) in Ethiopia, Sudan, and Liberia. Derrick also served in the capacity of Assistant RSO Investigator in Nigeria leading the Mission’s trafficking in persons, personnel recovery, and criminal fraud investigations programs following his assignment as the Deputy Chief of the Antiterrorism Training and Assistance (DS/ATA) Assessments and Evaluations Unit program in Virginia. Prior to arriving in Botswana, Derrick was the RSO at the U.S. Embassy in Maseru, Lesotho.
